In margine ai Ca.STA 2019, i Campionati di Sci delle Truppe Alpine, tenutesi in Alto Adige e nel Veneto, si è svolta a Misurina l’esercitazione dimostrativa Aquila Blu 2019. con la partecipazione di uomini dell’8° Rgt. Alpini, del 3° Rgt. Artiglieria, del 2° Rgt PIEMONTE CAVALLERIA , della Task Force ALTAIR dell’Aviazione dell’Esercito, del 41° Rgt. CORDENONS e le Forze Speciali del 4° Rgt. Ranger
L’atto tattico ha visto la presenza di due plotoni Alpieri dell’8° Reggimento Alpini, che schierava quindi una componente specialistica di questo tipo. Gli Alpieri sono personale altamente specializzato che, dopo la frequenza di appositi Mountain Warfare Course, ottengono questa qualifica che dimostra il possesso di particolari capacità tecnico-tattiche .
Durante l'esercitazione sono stai impiegati anche alcuni degli obici da OTO-Melara 105/14 che, dopo ammodermanento, sono stati recentemente re-introdotti in servizio ad affiancare i mortai Thomson-Brandt da 120mm.

On the sidelines of the Ca.STA 2019, the Alpine Troop Ski Championships, held in Alto Adige and Veneto, the Aquila Blu 2019 demonstration exercise was held in Misurina with the participation of 8th Rgt . Alpini, of the 3rd Rgt.Artillery, of the 2nd Rgt PIEMONTE CAVALLERIA, of the ALTAIR Task Force of the Army Aviation, of the 41st Rgt.CORDENONS and the Special Forces of the 4th Rgt. Ranger
The tactical act saw the presence of two platoons Alpieri of the 8th Alpine Regiment, which then deployed a specialist component of this type. The Alpieri are highly specialized personnel who, after attending appropriate Mountain Warfare Course, obtain this qualification which demonstrates the possession of particular technical-tactical skills
During the exercise, some of the OTO-Melara 105/14 howitzers were also employed, which, after upgrading, were re-introduced into service to support the 120mm Thomson-Brandt mortars.
