KLU in Aviano

Come ormai da diversi anni, la Koninklijke Luchtmacht invia i
suoi elicotteristi ad addestrarsi in ambiente montuoso ; la
scelta ricade da divesi anni nell'area del Nord-Est dell' Italia
che offre, oltre alle montagne anche basi aeree operative. Duarnte il mese di luglio, CH-47F Chinook del 298° Sqdn, AS-532U2 Cougar del 300° Sqdn ed AH-64D Apache del 301° Sqdn hanno operato dall' aeroporto militare "Pagliano e Gori" di Aviano. Tutta la necessaria imponente logistica di supporto è stata trasportata in Italia via camion e treno ( vedi : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Vr2f1y0AYM ). Varie ed articolate le missioni di volo in aree addestrative attrezzate nelle Alpi trentine e friulane. A conclusione dell' esercitazione, un breve spotter-day ha consentito di ammirare più da vicino i mezzi impegnati. testo di R. Zambon |
Since several years now, the Koninklijke Luchtmacht sends its helicopters to train in a mountainous environment; for
several years the choice has been in the area of North-East Italy which
offers, in addition to the mountains, also operational air bases. During the month of July, CH-47F Chinook of 298th Sqdn, AS-532U2 Cougar of 300th Sqdn and AH-64D Apache of 301st Sqdn operated from the military airport "Pagliano e Gori" of Aviano. All the necessary massive support logistics were transported to Italy by truck and train (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Vr2f1y0AYM ). The flight missions in equipped training areas in the Trentino and Friuli Alps were varied and articulated.
