Cento anni dei Gruppi 10

Maggio 1917 con edizioni successive del Nuovo Ordinamento dell'
Aeronautica furono costituiti nuovi Gruppi di volo per
meglio assecondare le esigenze belliche. Nacquero così il
IX Gruppo ( 10 Aprile ) ; X Gruppo ( 10 Aprile ) , XII
Gruppo ( 10 Maggio ) e XVIII Gruppo ( 24 Dicembre ). A
distanza di cento anni, questi Gruppi sono tuttora esistenti ed attivi
nell' organico dell' Aeronautica Militare. Nelle file del X Gruppo è tuttora attiva la 91ª Squadriglia detta "degi Assi" perchè nelle sue file hanno militato i maggiori Assi italiani, a partire dal Magg. Francesco Baracca. Oltre a mostre fotografiche ed all' edizione del libro " A la Chasse ", titolo che rievoca gli albori della speciialità, attraverso il quale viene raccontata l' evoluzione della Caccia italiana fino ai giorni nostri; per ricordare l'importante centenario si è svolto all' aeroporto militare di Grosseto, sede del 4° Stormo Caccia, il raduno del Personale di ieri e di oggi dei Reparti festeggiati. Alla presenza del Gen. di S.A. Enzo Vecciarelli, Capo di Stato Maggiore AM, e del Gen. S.A. Franco Girardi, Comandante della Squadra Aerea , si sono svolti l' alzabandiera, accompagnato dall' Inno Nazionale, e dalla commemorazione dei Caduti; è seguita poi la rassegna del Personale schierato coi vessilli dei Gruppi. Per la gioia dei numerosi intervenuti e dei fotografi accreditati, c'è stata poi un'esibizione in volo dei velivoli in dotazione ai Gruppi : F-2000A Typhoon ed F-35A Lightning II. Quest'ultimo è la prima volta che viene presentato ad un pubblico, seppur selezionato, che non sia solo di addetti ai lavori. La visita alla mostra statica, formata da velivoli, uno per Gruppo, decorati appositamente per l'anniversario e da alcuni dei velivoli che la successiva domenica hanno dato vita alla Manifestazione Aerea a Marina di Grosseto, hanno completato la giornata testo di Roberto Zambon |
In April / May 1917 with new editions of the Nuovo Ordinamento Aeronautico,
new Squadrons were set up to better meet the needs of war. Thus the
IX Group was born (10 April); X Group (10 April), XII Group (10 May)
and XVIII Group (24 December). One hundred years later, these Squadrons are still existing and active in the Aeronautica Militare. In the X Squadron ranks the 91st Squadriglia known as "degli Assi", because in its ranks the greatest Italian Aces have been active, starting from Major Francesco Baracca; she is still active. In addition to a photographic exhibitions and the edition of the book "A la Chasse", a title that recalls the beginnings of speciality, through which the evolution of Italian fighter to the present day is told, to remember the important centenary, took place at military airport of Grosseto, site of the 4th Stormo Caccia, the meeting of the Personnell of yesterday and today of the celebrated Units. In the presence of Gen. of S.A. Enzo Vecciarelli, Chief of Staff AM, and of Gen. S.A. Franco Girardi, Commander of the Air Command, held the flag-raising ceremony, accompanied by the National Anthem, and the commemoration of the Fallen; then followed the review of the personnel deployed with the Squadrons banners. To the delight of the many hosts and accredited photographers, there was then an in-flight exhibition of the aircraft belonging to the Squadrons : F-2000A Typhoon and F-35A Lightning II. The latter is the first time it has been presented to an audience, albeit selected, which is not just of professionals. The visit to the static exhibition, made up of aircraft, one per Squadron, decorated specifically for the anniversary and some of the aircraft that exibit to the Air Show in Marina di Grosseto the following Sunday, completed the day text and English translation by Roberto Zambon |
