Centenario dei Gruppi 20 dell' Aeronautica Militare
Anche
quest'anno, sulla base aerea di Istrana, TV, l' Aeronautica
Militare ha celebrato un centenario : quelli dei Gruppi
Venti ; in particolare si celebrano i Gruppi 20°
(costituito a Castenedolo, BS) il 26 Marzo 1918 ; il 21°
(costituito a Salonicco, Grecia) il 25 Maggio ; il 22°
(costituito a Ghedi, BS ) il 5 Luglio ed il 23° (costituito a San Luca
di Padernello, TV ) l' 8 Luglio. Purtroppo questi ultimi due
Gruppi sono al momento in 'posizione quadro'.
L'avvenimento, sottotono rispetto a quello dello scorso anno per i
Gruppi 10, ha visto la presenza di Personale, attivo e non,
appartenente ai Gruppi festeggiati. A presiedere la cerimonia il Sottocapo di Stato Maggiore, Generale di Squadra Aerea Settimo Caputo, accompagnato dal Generale di Brigata Aerea Silvano Frigerio in qualità di Comandante del Comando Forze da Combattimento. Dopo la cerimonia dell' alzabandiera, accompagnata dal canto dell' Inno Nazionale, e la commemorazione dei Caduti di tutti i Reparti, oltre allo scoprimento di una targa raffigurante un libro, appoggiato sullo stabilizzatore orizzonatale di un F-104, macchina che per decenni ha equipaggiato i quattro Reparti, aperto con scriite commemorative e gli Stemmi dei Gruppi. il Generale Caputo ha tenuto un discorso nel quale, tra la sorpresa dei presenti, ha confemato la prossima ricostituzione dei due Gruppi 'quadro' nelle stesse basi dove erano operativi prima della chiusura. Il sorvolo di due velivoli F-2000A e di due HH-212ICO ha chiuso la parte ufficiale della cerimonia. Per l'occasione i due Gruppi attivi hanno presentato due 'special color' : il 20° un TF-2000A ed il 21° un HH-212ICO 'tigrato' per la partecipazione all'annuale NATO Tiger Meet, che quest'anno si svolge a Poznan (Polonia) ; per i due Reparti non operativi un F-104 è stato dipinto da un lato a ricordae il 22° e dall' altro il 23°. Il migliaio circa tra radunisti ed ospiti ha potuto apprezzare una piccola mostra statica di velivoli ed elicotteri e, distribuiti all' interno dei vari shelter, mostre fotografiche e di cimeli a ricordo della lunga vita operativa dei vari Reparti. this year, on the air base of Istrana, TV, the Italian Air Force
celebrated a centenary: those of the Twenty Squadron; in particular the
celebrated Squadron are : 20th (established in Castenedolo, BS) on
March 26th 1918; the 21st (established in Thessaloniki,
Greece) May 25th; the 22nd (established in Ghedi, BS) on 5 July
and the 23rd (established in San Luca di Padernello, TV) on 8 July.
Unfortunately these last two Groups are currently disbanded. The event, subdued compared to that of last year for Squadron 10, saw the presence of Personnel, active and retired, belonging to the celebrated Squadrons. The ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Generale di Squadra Aerea Settimo Caputo , accompanied by Generale di Brigata Aerea Silvano Frigerio as Commander of the Comando Forze da Combattimento. After the flag-raising ceremony, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem, and the commemoration of the Fallen of all the Units , in addition to the unveiling of a plaque depicting a book, resting on the horizontal stabilizer of an F-104, a ship that for decades has equipped the four Squadrons, opened with commemorative scripts and the Coat of Arms of the Squadrons. General Caputo gave a speech in which, to the surprise of those present, he announced the upcoming reconstitution of the two groups disbanded in the same bases where they were operating before closing. The overflight of two F-2000A aircraft and two HH-212ICOs closed the official part of the ceremony. For the occasion, the two active Groups presented two 'special colors': the 20th a TF-2000A and the 21st an HH-212ICO 'tiger' for participation in the annual NATO Tiger Meet, which takes place this year in Poznan (Poland); for the two non-operational Squadron an F-104 was painted on the one side to remember the 22nd and on the other the 23rd. The thousand or so among gatherers and guests could appreciate a small static exhibition of aircraft and helicopters and, distributed among various shelters, photographic exhibitions and memorabilia in memory of the long operational life of the various Departments.
