Gioved' 8 Settembre, l' Aeronautica Militare ha celebrato presso l ' Aeroporto Militare 'Luigi Olivari di Ghedi (Bs), sede del 6° Stormo 'Alfredo Fusco', la ricorrenza dei 40 anni dall' atterraggio del primo velivolo da combattimento Panavia Pa-200 Tornado sulla base bresciana, avvenuto il 27 Agosto 1982.

Per l' anniversario, la Base Aerea ha ospitato un raduno nazionale aperto a tutti gli Equipaggi di Volo Tornado, al Personale Tecnico e Specialisti che nel tempo hanno operato sul velivo, nonchè a tutti i 'Diavoli Rossi' di ieri e di oggi.

Il Capo di Stato maggiore, Generale S.A. Luca Goretti, intervenuto alla celebrazione, dopo aver deposto una corona al mon umento ai Caduti del 6° Stormo, ha rivolto un doveroso pensiero a tutti coloro che hanno dato la vita per servire il Paese.

Per celebrare questo 40° anniversario, un Tornado ECR ( MM7059 6-66 ) è stato dipinto cun una livrea commemorativa che riproduce le quattro livree portate dall' inizio ad oggi e con gli Stemmi dei Gruppi di Volo che operano, od hanno operati, con il Tornado. Peccato non sia stato riportato anche lo Stemma del 311° Gruppo del Reparto Sperimentale di Volo, Reparto che ha utilizzato ed utilizza il Tornado per i suoi importanti compiti d'istituto.

La colorazione dello special comincia con quella iniziale da alta visibilià, per poi passare alla mimetica NATO degli anni Ottanta, la colorazione desertica usata durante Desert Sorm ed infine l'ultima in grigio uniforme; sulla deriva il logo dei 40 anni.

10 Tornado, compreso lo special, hano sorvolato in formazione l'aeroporto assieme alle Frecce Tricolori, che a seguire, si sono esibite in alcune delle loro manovre acrobatiche. Ospite è stata anche la Pattuglia Legend, con G46-4B, T-6H4M, MB. 326E, MB.326K, SF-260EA, S.208M, MB-339A e T-346A, che hanno sorvolato in formazione i radunisti.

In una delle tensostrutture era visibile il primo F-35A del 6à Stormo, velivolo destinato a rimpiazzare nei prossimi anni il Tornado; in esposizione anche il Tornado MM55000 6-51, con la deriva dipinta per celebrare i 40 anni dei consorzi Panavia e Turbounion, e con tutta la panoplia degli armamenti dedicati.

A parte un breve acquazzone di stagione, la cerimonia ed il successivo raduno si sono svolti ccon un bel sole per la gioia degli intervenuti ed il sollievo di quanti hanno lavorato per la riuscita della giornata.

On Thursday 8 September, the Aeronautica Militare celebrated the 40th anniversary of the landing of the first Panavia Pa -200 Tornado on the Brescia Air Base, which took place on August 27, 1982.

For the anniversary, the Air Base hosted a national gathering open to all Tornado Flight Crews, Technical Personnel and Specialists who have operated on the aircraft over time, as well as all the 'Red Devils' of yesterday and today.

The Chief of Staff, General S.A. Luca Goretti, who spoke at the celebration, after placing a wreath at the monument to the Fallen of the 6th Wing, addressed a dutiful thought to all those who gave their lives to serve the Country.

To celebrate this 40th anniversary, a Tornado ECR (MM7059 6-66) was painted with a commemorative livery that reproduces the four liveries worn from the beginning to today and with the Crests of the Gruppi di Volo that operate, or have operated, with the Tornado. Too bad the coat of arms of the 311st Group of the Experimental Flight Department, the Department that used and uses the Tornado for its important s tasks, was not reported.

The coloring of the special begins with the initial high visibility one, then moves on to the NATO camouflage of the 1980s, the desert coloring used during Desert Sorm and finally the last in uniform grey; on the tail the 40 years logo.

10 Tornadoes, including the special, flew over the airport in formation together with the Frecce Tricolori, who subsequently performed some of their acrobatic maneuvers. Guest was also the Pattuglia Legend, with G46-4B, T-6H4M, MB. 326E, MB.326K, SF-260EA, S.208M, MB-339A and T-346A, which flew over the ghaterers in formation.

In one of the tensile structures the first F-35A of the 6th Wing was visible, an aircraft destined to replace the Tornado in the coming years; also on display is the Tornado MM55000 6-51, with the fin painted to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Panavia and Turbounion consortium, and with all the panoply of dedicated armaments.

Apart from a brief seasonal downpour, the ceremony and the subsequent meeting took place with a beautiful sun to the delight of those present and the relief of those who worked for the success of the day.
