Presso l'aeroporto militare di Istrana sede del 51° Stormo, il 15 Febbraio scorso è stato festeggiato l' 80°
Anniversario dalla costituzione del 103° Gruppo, avvenuta a Lonate Pozzolo nel 1943.
Alla cerimonia erano presenti il
Com.te del 51° Stormo Col. Pil. Emanuele Chiadroni e il Sottocapo
di Stato
Maggiore Gen. Aurelio Colagrande, entrambi ex "Indiani" del 103°
Gruppo, che hanno presieduto all' alza bandiera ed alla
deposizione di una corona d'alloro sul monumento ai Caduti del lo
Stormo. Numerosi i punti espositivi allestiti presso la sala
storica del 51° Stormo e la sala lettura del circolo Sottufficiali
con mostra fotografica e cimeli del 103° Gruppo.
In area centrale è stata disposta una mostra statica con un' F- 2000
del 51° Stormo con la matricola speciale 5-103 e due AM-X
'special colour' : uno dedicato ai trent'anni di AM-X ,
l'altro con
la deriva gialla e la testa di indiano, simboli del 103° Gruppo. Completavano la mostra statica un M 346 proveniente dal 61°
Stormo e un MB 339 A della Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale. Oltre ai velivoli operativi vi erano anche un G 91R ,
F104,un MB 326 e un T 33 tutti velivoli che hanno fatto parte della
storia del 51° Stormo. L'emozione più forte della giornata è stata data dallo
special colour realizzato dal Sig.Silvano Mainini e dal suo staff, il velivolo
un AM-X con la deriva ed il lato per metà giallo colore storico del 103° Gruppo. Sulla deriva faceva bella mostra di sé la testa dell'
indiano , il nominativo radio "Guizzo 01" sul serbatoio realizzata
una freccia con la scritta "80 anni di 103 " Nella parte superiore l'indiano che scocca la freccia e sopra le ali le date di fondazione del gruppo da un lato, dall'altro l'anno in corso. testo di A. Genta adattamento di R. Zambon |
At the military airport of Istrana, headquarters of the 51st Wing, last
February 15th the 80th Anniversary of the establishment of the 103rd
Group was celebrated, which took place in Lonate Pozzolo in 1943.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the 51st Stormo Col. Pil. Emanuele Chiadroni and the Deputy Chief of Staff Gen. Aurelio Colagrande, both former "Indians" of the 103rd Group, who presided over the raising of the flag and the placing of a laurel wreath on the monument to the Fallen of the Wing. Numerous exhibition points set up in the historic hall of the 51st Wing and the reading room of the Non-Commissioned Officers club with a photographic exhibition and memorabilia of the 103rd Group. In the central area there is a static display with an F-2000 of the 51st Wing with the special serial number 5-103 and two AM-X 'special colours': one dedicated to AM-X's thirty years, the other with the yellow fin and Indian head, symbols of the 103rd Group. The static display was completed by an M 346 from the 61st Wing and an MB 339A from the National Aerobatic Team. In addition to the operational aircraft, there were also a G 91R, F104, an MB 326 and a T 33, all aircraft that have been part of the history of the 51st Stormo. The strongest emotion of the day was given by the special color created by Mr. Silvano Mainini and his staff, the aircraft an AM-X with the fin and side half yellow, historical color of the 103rd Group. On the fin the head of the Indian was proudly displayed, the radio call "Guizzo 01" on the tank made an arrow with the inscription "80 years of 103" In the upper part the Indian who shoots the arrow and above the wings the foundation dates of the group on one side, on the other the current year. text by A.
