V M A S   : tour Lazio - Campania 2022

   Dall' 11 al 14 ottobre, alcuni soci dell’associazione VMAS sono stati coinvolti in un tour di alcune basi Laziali e Campane.

  Il tour ha avuto inizio con visita presso Pratica Di Mare dei reparti AM ivi stanziati ed in particolare con la DASAS/RSV e il 311°Gruppo, il 14°Stormo con i Gruppi 8° e 71° e l’85°Gruppo SAR del 15°Stormo. In tutti gli Enti, un briefing introduttivo sulla relativa attivitā istituzionale da parte degli accompagnatori AM, ha permesso di tastare le peculiaritā e caratteristiche di questa grande ed attivissima base.

  Il giorno successivo č stato visitato l’aeroporto di Latina sede del 70°Stormo ed equipaggiato con velivoli SF-260EA. La giornata si č articolata tra l’attivitā frenetica del 207°Gruppo e il locale GEA. Gli accompagnatori AM, disponibilissimi, hanno spiegato ai soci presenti scopi e ruolo dell’ente e tutto l’iter a cui sono sottoposti gli allievi piloti militari, sia nazionali che esteri.

   Il 13 ottobre, nonostante il brutto tempo, presso l’aeroporto di Frosinone, sede del 72°Stormo, i soci partecipanti hanno potuto visitare il locale GEA e la linea volo del 208°Gruppo oltre che il simulatore del velivolo HH-139A. Il benvenuto del Comandante del 72°Stormo, seguito da un briefing sull’iter addestrativo seguito nel Reparto, ha permesso ai soci di apprendere le varie fasi istruzionali a cui i futuri piloti di elicotteri sono sottoposti. Il 72°Stormo, oltre all’addestramento dei piloti AM, fornisce anche istruzione ai futuri piloti dell’Esercito, Carabinieri, Polizia, Guardia di Finanza, Vigili del Fuoco oltre che esteri.  

   Il giorno 14 ottobre, il tour si č concluso con la visita presso il 9°Stormo di Grazzanise. Dopo il saluto del Comandante e briefing introduttivo, la visita č proseguita presso il GEA e successivamente il 21°Gruppo. Il tour, articolato tra l’attivitā volo di HH-101A e manutenzione di AB-212ICO,  ha visto anche l’inaspettata sorpresa della presenza delle Frecce Tricolori, impegnate nell’airshow di Pozzuoli.    

 

  Tutte le visite sono state concordate con i rispettivi Uffici Comando degli Enti visitati e sono state regolarmente autorizzate dal 5°Reparto SMA con lettera MD ARM001 REG2022 0058503 del 31/05/2022.

  Un particolare ringraziamento, oltre al 5°Reparto per l’autorizzazione concessa, va a tutto il personale, Comandanti, Ufficiali e Sottufficiali che hanno accompagnato e supportato i soci partecipanti.

   From 11 to 14 October, some members of the VMAS association were involved in a tour of some bases in Lazio and Campania.

  The tour began with a visit to Pratica Di Mare of the AM departments allocated there and in particular with the DASAS / RSV and the 311st Group, the 14th Wing with the 8th and 71st Groups and the 85th SAR Group of the 15th Wing.
  In all the Units, an introductory briefing on the relative institutional activity by the AM accompanying people, allowed to feel the peculiarities and characteristics of this large and very active base.

  The following day, the Latina airport, home of the 70th Wing and equipped with SF-260EA aircraft, was visited. The day was divided between the frenetic activity of the 207th Group and the local GEA.
  The AM accompanying persons, extremely kindly, explained to the members present the purposes and role of the Unit and the whole process to which the student military pilots, both domestic and foreign, are subjected.

  On 13 October, despite the bad weather, at the Frosinone airport, home of the 72nd Wing, the participating members were able to visit the local GEA and the flight line of the 208th Group as well as the simulator of the HH-139A aircraft.
  The welcome of the Commander of the 72nd Wing, followed by a briefing on the training process followed at the Unit, allowed the members to learn the various instructional phases to which future helicopter pilots are subjected.
  The 72nd Wing, in addition to training AM pilots, also provides training for future pilots of the Army, Carabinieri, Police, Finance Police, Fire Brigade as well as foreigners.

  On October 14, the tour ended with a visit to the 9th Wing of Grazzanise. After the Commander's greeting and introductory briefing, the visit continued at the GEA and subsequently at the 21st Group.
  The tour, divided between the flight activity of HH-101A and maintenance of AB-212ICO, also saw the unexpected surprise of the presence of the Frecce Tricolori, engaged in the Pozzuoli airshow.


   All visits have been agreed with the respective Command Offices of the Bodies visited and have been duly authorized by the 5th SMA Department with letter MD ARM001 REG2022 0058503 of 31/05/2022.
 

   A special thanks, in addition to the 5th Department for the authorization granted, goes to all the staff, Commanders, Officers and NCOs who accompanied and supported the participating members.
